No, I'm not a fan of how Izuru and studio 8-bit have been handling the series ever since season 2 was broadcast. If you have followed my previous posts and comments on this website, you must be already aware of my opinion that Infinite Stratos is, conceptually speaking, a good series I just don't think the execution of its concepts has been as good as I hoped. Some fans will see anything less than victory at a championship as a failure while others will appreciate that the team is putting in the effort to be competitive, even if they don't always win. What constitutes disappointment varies from fan to fan. When your favorite team loses, you're likely to take it to a forum or sports radio or whatever to express your disappointment. It's the same as being a fan of a sports team. We just want it to be or do better, which isn't to say that you can go too far with your criticism, but usually and I don't necessarily mean it as a defense of anyone who has gone too far, but the angrier you are at something, the more you actually care. Our criticism, more often than not, comes from a place of love or concern. The thing is, as fans, we want Infinite Stratos to be good. That's just how every business out there works. That gives you the right to express how happy or sad you are for what you have bought. Yes, I'm using the term "paying customer" because you are paying for Infinite Stratos content, whether it'd be buying the newest light novel, Blu-Ray, DVD or action figure. In recent years, debates have become more heated over what constitutes good Infinite Stratos and whether or not the characters and the story are being treated with respect.Īs a paying customer of Infinite Stratos, you're entitled to your excitement and happiness, just like you're entitled to your disappointment and sadness. With season 2 not living up to the fanbase's expectations and volume 12 of the light novels ending in the mother of all cliffhangers, it's safe to say that the Infinite Stratos fanbase is more divided than ever.

It's hard to believe it's been 8 years since Infinite Stratos received a new anime season and with other anime adaptations of light novels like Sword Art Online, Highschool DxD and The Irregular at Magic High School soaring to greater heights with new material to watch and enjoy, Infinite Stratos has been continuously lagging behind those stories and other new stories that pull out all the stops to grab their audiences' attention for more than just a few microseconds.
